Dedicated to the Memory
of
Sharon Christie
November 15,1944 - July 3, 2012
Sharon was born in Worcester, MA, but she considered Newport her home.  She raised her family in the “Sunshine Town” where she taught school and later was Administrative   Assistant to the Town Manager for many years.
She was a dedicated, active citizen and member of the Newport Historical Society.  She chronicled town events; the rebuilding of the Covered Bridge in North Newport and the history of Winter Carnival, to name a few of her may accomplishments.
This booklet is reprinted from an article that Sharon wrote in the 1996 Town Report.  It is with great respect for Sharon and her contribution to the history of Newport that we share her words and work.
Price
$6.00/ea. or 2 for $10.00
