Bill Bartlett - The Iditarod

Bill is a native if Newport and graduated from Towle High School in 1962. Graduating from UNH with a degree in animal science, he has spent his life in the agricultural world practicing 35 years as a bovine podiatrist.  For the past 37 years Heidi and Bill have owned and operated Bartletts Blueberry Farm.  Bill was a contestent on the television show "What's my Line" in 1970 and spent 3 Winters living in a cabin 17 miles from the nearest road. That experience solidified his love with sled dogs.  Bill has traveled to Austria, 49 States and most of the provinces of Canada.  It was these experiences that set the stage for his participation in the 1980 Iditarod, a 1100 mile sled dog race in Alaska.

 

The Programs start at 6:30 unless noted otherwise and are held in the Ballroom at the Richards Free Library - 58 N. Main St. Newport, NH.
