New England Gravestones: History and Preservation with Kai Nalenz of Gravestone Services of New England. Please join us for an entertaining history of New England gravestones from Colonial times to the present. Learn the meanings of skulls, angels, urns, and other symbols. Kai Nalenz of Gravestone Services of New England will also show how he cleans, resets, recovers and restores gravestones. Presented by the Newport Historical Society on August 9 at 7pm in the Sugar River Bank Community Room.
